Our current lodge was the result of an amalgamation between Hiram and Scotia lodges. The name was kept Hiram but retained Scotia's red regalia and ritual. Scotia lodge was under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Scotland (even though it was in Canada) where red was/is a traditional Masonic color.
Hiram Lodge is now under Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia but we do everything differently than the rest of Nova Scotia blue lodges. We are the only red craft lodge in Nova Scotia, Thus Color of the Aprons that are Worn are Red in Color as seen below.

Fun fact:

Nova Scotia beer mogul Alexander Keith was Grand Master of NS when Hiram Lodge's charter was issued and Had Attended Lodge in in the mid 1800's and had sighed the lodge registry at the time of visit .

From Nearest I Can tell the Lodge is over 177 Years Old, To be Verified by Lodge Historian

The Current lodge at one time was a Church with a Cemetery attached to the grounds and is cared for and maintained by the Hiram 12 members.

Will be more to come as research finds new info, So check this page often for updates and pics
